Garri Is Bae

Garri also known as Cassava flakes, is a Nigerian soul food. Yes oh! i believe it's our soul food. It is available and affordable. It's consumed in other West African countries, Garri complements a lot of things. But the one with a wild rave is Garri and Groundnut. This one is really fulfilling when garnished with ice, sugar, milk and groundnut.
Garri can be used to prepare quiet a number of things like the Garri Cookies of the Northerners, the Garri Cake of Dano milk, Eba(garri sprinkled in hot water), Fufu(A gruel made from Garri)

Due to the high rate of consumption of Garri let's look at the health benefits!

  1.  Cynacide is  present in Garri. Cynacide is similar to Vitamin B12 so it fights for domination, affecting tissues and nerves this includes the optical nerves. When the consumption of Garri is too much it leads to eye defect
  2. Garri contains eight bacteria genera (Bacillus, Staphylococcus, Salmonella Klebsiella and Coliforms groups) and six fungi genera (Aspergillus, Penicillium, Rhizopus, Botrytls, Fusarium and Clasdosporium).
  3. It promotes empty bowels because of it's source of fibre.
  4. it prevents stomach cancer. 
  5. Excess consumption leads to weight loss.
