A Telescope For The Mind Of A Rapist

    The mind of a rapist is one of the darkest and twisted realms of human sexuality.  Rape is a violent act of sexual inter course especially on a woman. There are different types of rapists and different reasons rapists rape. Only a few rapists are sexual outlaws driven by their hate of women or sadistic fantasies, most rapists are actually men with a normal sexual orientation who take advantage of women in a tenuous position.

     Studies say that the men who rape are not ordinarily aroused by the impression or illustration of sexual violence, rather it is being angry at a woman that does. Anger is something that any successful rapist carries.

Using a device called a "penile plethysmograph" researchers can precisely measure the blood flow to a man's genitals as he views or listens to sexual scenes.

This device helps the researcher know what part of the sex scenes interests or arouses the rapist. 

Majority men’s arousal drops 50% at a rape scene, than a consensual lovemaking scene. Violence normally increases sexual tension in men but at 50%  their arousal cannot even penetrate a woman. Meaning, majority men with right mind do not find rape interesting which is the opposite for rapists who are very aroused watching rape scenes than consensual lovemaking scenes. 

    According to studies, it shows that rapists who are more aroused about forced sex tend to have caused more damage on their victims. The rapists who are aroused but not over the top aroused are studied to have caused less damage on their victims. 

Men who thought they were participating in a study of the effects of physical exercise on sexual arousal were asked to pedal a stationary bicycle as fast as they could for one minute. After they had finished, a young woman confederate of the experimenter entered into the room, ostensibly on an errand, noticed the amount the man had pedaled, and made a disparaging remark: "Is that all you can do? I pedaled a lot more than that myself this morning."

"When these men subsequently went into the lab, they had the same degree of arousal to the rape as to consenting sex," Dr. Barbaree said.

Also men who are drunk tend to get very aroused at a rape scene then when they are not intoxicated. 

Rapists often admit to being angry or depressed or worthless for days/months/years before leading up to rape. 

       The common rapists are the date rapists, the men who take women out only to force them to have sex, rapists like these are called opportunists they are mostly driven by a sexual fantasy, maybe they are romantics or maybe they are sick but they think having forced sex with their date or the women they like would make them love them more. These men are easily arrested because they still try to take the victim out on another date. 

     There are the less aggressive rapists the type who would lay the bed properly before laying her on it, the type that would run if she fights him off. 

    There are the women-haters who would harm the woman to have his way because his intention is solely to degrade and humiliate her. 

     There are the rapists who are mad at t

he world, they fight men and rape women. They are different from the other rapists because they have a long history of violent crimes. 

      Men who are aroused by rape scenes in college are most likely to rape women in future or use physical force on their lover. 

Most men who attest to their sexual crimes are studied to have dominancy issues or past family problems. 

Rapists socialize more with men who see women as objects rather than people.
