Greater Every Year

I planned to be greater this year, I’m not as great as I imagined but I am better and bigger than last year. I have lose seams as this month comes to an end but my vision for the future remains that of last year, “I shall be greater this year.” 2020 is just a bend away and I look up at the sky speaking to the Great One above, I beat my chest and say to the Great One, “I shall be greater next year.”
When 2020 comes, I’ll speak to the year, “with the start of you, a greater me has been begotten.”
